Great Wall is one of the car manufacturer concerns, the enterprises of which are represented by ten independent divisions specializing in the production of buses, cars and trucks. Great Wall is also China's largest SUV manufacturer.
Concern history
Great Wall was founded in 1976. Manufacturers began with the assembly of licensed trucks from well-known companies, but soon opened their own development and design department.
In 1991, the company introduced to the market its first own minibus, and 5 years later - a passenger pickup called Deer. I must say that this brand is being produced to this day and has gained considerable popularity in many countries, and Russia is among them. Over time, the Deer group has expanded to include five varieties, from the 2-seat, two-door, rear-wheel drive G1 to the all-wheel drive, 5-seat, four-door G5.
Great Wall began offering its cars to foreign buyers more than 20 years ago. In 2001, the company expanded by launching a new structure focused on making its own branded engines.
Great Wall is the first Chinese auto company with a rare joint-stock non-state form of ownership for the Chinese economy. Perhaps this approach contributed to the fact that in 2006 Great Wall cars gained access to the European car market.
The management of the concern is working on the development of alternative energy technologies. The goal of the developers is to create their own hybrid vehicle. In 2012, the company presented the Hover E model to the public. The car is equipped with a classic gasoline engine and a modern electric motor, whose batteries can be recharged both from solar panels when the car is stationary, and from movement when the car uses a gasoline engine.

To reduce the cost of delivery and simplify technological chains, Great Wall's management has concluded a number of cooperation agreements with Russia. This model is the result of stylistic modifications of the 2005 Great Wall Hover. The model hit the Russian market just a year after its debut at home.
The Great Wall Hover H3 New is a full-size SUV. Its dimensions are 4.620 mx 1.88 mx 1.800 m.The vehicle's ground clearance is 0.18 m.
An attractive difference of this model from competing brands is that, given the characteristics of an SUV, the price of the Great Wall Hover H3 New is kept at the level of the cost of a middle class passenger car.
Externally, the model differs little from its predecessor: a road front bumper, a chrome grille - these are, perhaps, all the external differences. Inside the cabin, the changes affected the control panels: they changed the location of some controls and installed white backlighting. The rear seat has a full-fledged headrest for the middle passenger seat, but the backrest adjustment system is not provided.

This model is a version of the full-fledged Hover SUV, which is very beloved by the Russian motorist. The model has been present on the Russian market since 2011.
The designers were able to successfully preserve the recognizable silhouette of the car and the features of modern design. In contrast to the practically unchanged contours of the rear, the front has undergone changes, becoming smoother. The modern shape of the bumper and the modern shape of the headlights make the SUV akin to the Mazda CX-7.
