Qoros is a young automotive concern founded by the Chinese brand Chery Automobile and the Israel Corporation in mid-2007. The company's main goal is to dispel the myths about Chinese cars once and for all. Especially for this, the management of the young car brand attracted well-known foreign specialists to its ranks, including G. Hildebrand, Klaus Schmidt and Volker Steinschweier, who had previously collaborated with such automakers as BMW, Opel, Seat, VW and others. As a result, in 2013 the company released its first car, which was the Qoros 3 Sedan, whose main task was to conquer the European market.
At the end of November 2015, at the Guangzhou Auto Show, the Qoros brand officially demonstrated its new model - a compact urban crossover 5 SUV, which will take place one step above the previously presented 3 City SUV crossover. The car received a stylish and original appearance, good technical characteristics and, traditionally for cars from the Middle Kingdom, a rich package and a relatively low cost.

The company representatives emphasize that in the engineering process, the greatest attention is paid to such parameters as the level of safety, subsequent car maintenance and design. And it's worth noting that in terms of design, the new Qoros 5 SUV is doing well.
The crossover looks catchy and modern, but looking at the car willy-nilly catches the source of inspiration for the brand's designers, which is the Range Rover Evoque, as well as the latest generation of the Porsche Macan.
So, from the first, the Chinese borrowed the architecture and graphics of the head optics, and from the second, the design of the stern. But in general, the exterior of the crossover looks distinctive and original.
The front part of the car received a stylish false radiator grille, slanted head optics, as well as a massive front bumper, in which an original air intake and fog lights are mounted. The profile of the novelty is distinguished by inflated wheel arches, original R19 rims, stylish stampings along the side doors and a sloping roof that smoothly turns into a small spoiler.

The interior of the Qoros 5 SUV is designed in a minimalist style, which, nevertheless, does not prevent it from being original, modern and attractive.
In front of the driver there is a multifunctional three-spoke steering wheel slightly truncated at the bottom, as well as an original dashboard with round speedometer and tachometer dials, between which there is a 3.5-inch display of the on-board computer.
The central part of the dashboard is represented by an 8-inch display of the information and multimedia complex, under which there is an original climate control unit in the cabin.
The ergonomics of the driver's workplace, as well as the quality of the finishing materials, does not raise any questions - the plastic is pleasant to the touch, nothing plays or creaks.
The front seats provide a comfortable fit, and also have a wide range of adjustments, so that a person of any size can easily fit behind the wheel of the crossover. The rear seats are profiled for three riders, while there is enough free space both in length and in width.
Tall passengers will feel a little uncomfortable in the rear seats, since, due to the sloping roofline, there is an order of magnitude less headroom overhead than in the Qoros 3 compact crossover.
The trunk volume is average in size and is equal to 450 liters, however, it can always be increased by lowering the backs of the second row. The luggage compartment has a sufficient number of special niches and pockets in which you can place various small things. Moreover, there is a full-fledged spare wheel and a repair kit underground.
In general, the interior of the Qoros 5 SUV leaves a positive impression, which is facilitated not only by good finishing materials and high quality fit of parts, but also by a good level of equipment, represented by a multimedia complex with a touch screen, air conditioning, a multifunctional steering wheel and other chips.

The line of power units is still represented by two turbocharged engines - 1.6 liter 154-horsepower and 1.8-liter 180-horsepower gasoline engines.
In the future, the company's management plans to launch a hybrid power plant on the market, but the exact timing of its appearance is still unknown. A pair of the power unit is either a 6-speed manual or a robotic transmission with two clutches. Acceleration from 0 to 100 varies within 10.9-12 seconds, and fuel consumption, according to the representatives of the auto concern, does not exceed 8 l / 100 km in mixed mode.
The car is presented in both mono-drive and all-wheel drive versions. The suspension of the mono-drive version is represented by classic MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear. The all-wheel drive version at the rear is equipped with a more sophisticated multi-link suspension.
Regardless of the version, the suspension handles small, medium and large irregularities without problems. The steering wheel is equipped with an electric drive, and the braking system is represented by disc brakes located on all four wheels.
Despite the fact that the Qoros 5 SUV is a representative of mid-size crossovers, the car drives almost like a passenger car, which no doubt adds points to it.

Qoros 5 SUV is one of the few cars from the Middle Kingdom that was able to get the maximum 5 stars according to the results of the international crash tests EuroNCAP. The list of passive and active safety systems of the novelty deserves respect and is presented:

- Brake Assist system, which improves the quality and power of braking;

Of course, it may seem to many that the requested amount is excessively large for a Chinese car that does not have a long history and recognition, but in practice, the crossover works out the money invested in it 100%.

The main advantages of the crossover include high-quality finishing materials, high attention to detail in interior design, a wide range of basic and optional equipment and economical engines with good technical characteristics.
It is also important to note that the car does not have any obvious flaws, with the exception of a very considerable cost, as for a car from the PRC.
