The Japanese love small cars, and the Honda Jazz model (known as the Honda Fit in its home market) is a vivid confirmation of this. This car, somewhat reminiscent of a miniature hatchback, was presented to the world in 2001.
This year, at the Tokyo Auto Show, the Japanese first demonstrated the 4th generation of the model aimed at the local market, and the next day - its European modification. The car turned out to be very interesting, and we were very upset that it would not be presented on the Russian market.
Exterior
From the point of view of external design, the new Honda Jazz has become visually simpler, which from an aesthetic point of view only benefited the car.
The front part of the body attracts the eye with large headlamps with LED brackets, a compact hood, a grille “smile” and an attractive bumper with a large air intake and a pair of round fog lights.
The profile of the car, thanks to the heavily piled up front struts, looks dynamic and modern. Separately, it is worth highlighting the presence of circular arches, a sloping roofline and exterior mirrors on thin legs.
The stern of the car meets with massive shades of parking lights, a large rear window and a fairly large luggage compartment door.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer has decided not to talk about the external dimensions of the model yet, but purely visually, they have not changed much in comparison with their predecessor. We must pay tribute to the designers who managed to preserve the overall style of the model.
Salon Honda Jazz 2020
The salon of the new Honda Jazz impresses with its simplicity, functionality and thoughtfulness. From now on, in front of the driver is not an analog, but a digital dashboard, as well as a stylish two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, well known from the Honda E electric car.
In the central part of the dashboard, the manufacturer placed a large "tablet" of the multimedia information system, and right below it - a laconic control unit for the in-cabin "climate" with a small monochrome display.
For front riders, the car offers completely new seats that stabilize body position and reduce fatigue during long trips. Also, the seats boast good lateral support, a wide range of adjustments and an optional heating system. Between the seats is the center console, which has a folding armrest, an electric parking brake button and a couple of auxiliary switches.
The rear sofa is profiled for two riders, but if necessary, one more passenger can be accommodated here. The car has retained one of its main "chips" - the possibility of transforming the interior. For example, the rear sofa can not only be folded into the floor, but also placed vertically, which allows you to easily transport large vertical items.
The volume of the luggage compartment is unknown, but it is unlikely that it will be very different from the volume of the trunk of its predecessor.

At the moment, the manufacturer has released information that the first batches of the car will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid power plant, technical and dynamic characteristics (engine size, traction battery capacity, acceleration from 0 to 100, etc.) which have not yet been reported. It is assumed that the car will be able to move exclusively on electric traction, while the gasoline unit will be used to recharge the batteries.
The manufacturer has so far decided not to name any other data on the technical component of the novelty, which greatly upset automotive journalists and fans of the brand.
Equipment level and price of the 2020 Honda Jazz
Official sales of the new Honda Fit (aka Jazz) in the Japanese market are scheduled for February 2020. But on the European market, the machine will appear presumably in the summer of the same year. It is known that as standard the following equipment will be included:

- immobilizer;
- air conditioning;
- anti-lock braking system;
- seat belts;

Conclusion
The Honda Jazz is a small, stylish and modern car, perfect for the role of an urban vehicle. Of course, the novelty is unlikely to become a bestseller in its class, but the machine will definitely find its buyer.
