The charged sedan Hyundai Sonata N-Line 2020 is presented in the North American market. For the first time, the Korean manufacturer revealed information about a charged sedan back in September 2020. As many auto experts said, under the hood of the new charged sedan is a turbocharged gasoline engine with a volume of 2.5 liters per 4 cylinders of the Smartstream family. The power of the unit is 290 horses and 421 Nm of torque. Until recently, Hyundai did not produce such powerful Sonata cars.
Despite the charged character, the new sedan has only front-wheel drive. In tandem to the unit, a robotic NDCT transmission is installed, with a double wet clutch. The main plus is the presence of the Launch Control system, which provides a quick start. One thing that remains a secret is the dynamic performance. Considering that Hyundai Sonata N-Line and Kia K5 are built on the same platform, then acceleration to the first hundred square meters on the speedometer will take about 6 seconds.
The Hyundai Sonata N-Line chassis survived the revision. The sedan received more powerful engine mounts, as well as an improved braking system. The sedan's suspension has become more rigid, paired with an anti-roll bar. For better control, the engineers installed the power steering directly on the steering rack, and the sedan is based on 19 ″ alloy wheels.
According to the manufacturer, the starting price of the new Hyundai Sonata N-Line 2020 will be from $ 33,200. Thus, the charged sedan did not become the most expensive modification among the Sonata sedans. The hybrid version of the Hyundai Sonata will cost $ 200 more than the charged version. Most likely, in the future, the charged modification of the sedan will be sold in the automotive markets of different countries.
