With its proportions, the new Ford Mondeo is more reminiscent of a raised station wagon, which very much betrays the car's belonging to the cross version. For the first time, the British edition of Autocar started talking about the new crossover Ford Mondeo in early 2020.
The first spy photos of Ford Mondeo came from China. It is here that they plan to start the new generation of 5 doors. Despite the camouflage, you can see some details of the novelty. In particular, the car received new thin optics, the radiator grille acquired a thin chrome line, which also connects the optics. The grille itself is quite large and a hybrid version is not excluded.
Following the optics, the side of the new Ford Mondeo stands out with hidden door handles, similar to those that are installed on the new models of Tesla's electric cars. But what will surprise most of all is the huge display, which is installed almost the entire width of the front panel. If this copy becomes serial, then it will definitely break all records at the time of the start of production. It's hard to say yet whether it will be one solid display or several paired screens installed under one glass.
However, the company applied a similar interior design for the new generation of Ford Edge, presented in the Chinese market. It remains only to guess whether this display will go into mass production. The official premiere of the new Ford Mondeo is scheduled for the second half of 2021. So far, the manufacturer has not exhibited any announcement about the presentation of the new product.
